Trauma Counselling That Goes Deeper
You’re exhausted. Not because life is falling apart, but because every day feels like you’re fighting your own nervous system. You’ve tried to push through, stay positive and make sense of it all. Maybe you’ve even seen therapists before. The explanations made sense, but nothing really changed.
Trauma doesn’t always look like what you expect. Many people I work with don’t think they’ve experienced “real trauma”. They simply know they’ve spent years feeling anxious, disconnected, on edge, or stuck in patterns they can’t explain. Wired and exhausted at the same time. Racing thoughts that don’t stop. Feeling unsafe even when nothing’s wrong. Relationships that swing between conflict, pulling away and fearing people will leave. The patterns you keep returning to, even though you desperately want to stop.
Taking this step takes courage, especially when you’ve been here before. Trauma counselling isn’t just about changing thoughts. It’s about helping your nervous system finally learn that it doesn’t have to stay in survival mode. My role is to understand what happened, how it’s still affecting your life today, and help you build lasting change that goes far beyond insight.
I specialise in complex and chronic trauma, working with private clients as well as people accessing counselling through WorkCover Victoria, the Victorian Victims of Crime Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS), the National Redress Scheme, NDIS and other funded pathways. I also offer couples counselling where trauma and attachment wounds are getting in the way of connection.
Deeper Perspectives Counselling services the Bayside and Mornington Peninsula areas with face to face appointments available in Edithvale and Somerville as well as online Australia.
Deeper Perspectives Counselling
The past doesn’t change. But its hold on you can..
Healing doesn’t happen because someone tells you to “move on.” It happens when your nervous system finally feels safe enough to let go of survival mode. At your pace, in your own way.
It’s also rarely a single moment when everything changes. Instead, it’s the countless small shifts that add up over time. Then one day, you realise life doesn’t feel quite so hard anymore. And for the first time in a long time, you find yourself thinking you’re going to be alright.
If you are ready, I’m here to help.

Our first session together is about both of us getting to know each other. I will lead the discussion to learn more about what brings you to counselling, your current circumstance, your history, and your goals for our time together. Some clients have a traumatic history, which I understand. If it is too difficult to talk about some things straight away, that is fine. I will go at your pace.
This first session is also about your getting to know me too. Ask any questions you need to about the process and see if you think we will work well together.
